Coming from Maine, as I do, I'm not calling this a "warm" coat. It's about the warmth you'd get from a suit jacket, though obviously longer. The intended use of this coat is as con-clothes. About. . .six? seven? years ago, I bought a similar garment, sleeveless from Marketplace Handwork of India (http://www.marketplaceindia.com/). That garment is reversible and has pockets, and I've worn it so much (it didn't just remain "con-clothes") that it's starting to get a little shabby.
