CatofSize actively enjoys being brushed (on his schedule, please), and will let me know when he's done by attempting to chew on the grooming tool (I use a flat slicker wire brush to make sure I get through his undercoat). He will tolerate having his nails clipped and ears cleaned, although apparently Only By Mom.
The Kitten of Thursday sees no reason to be groomed (he LIKES his cowlicks where they are, thank you) and squirms like a furry snake to avoid nail-clipping, although he will submit-and-sulk eventually.
Thankfully, neither of my boys need to be grounded by an anti-static towel, but I am now tempted to buy one for my sister's Magnificent Floofy Demon....
