In honor of which, I present the current weather forecast for today and tomorrow:
Today
Areas of fog early this morning. Rain and areas of freezing rain until late afternoon... then changing to snow toward evening. Snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches. Not as cool with highs around 40. South winds around 5 mph...increasing to north this afternoon.
Tonight
Snow in the evening...then a chance of snow after midnight. Total snow accumulation of 3 to 5 inches. Very windy. Colder with lows around 16. Northwest winds 20 to 30 mph.
Wednesday
Mostly cloudy with a chance of snow in the morning... then partly cloudy in the afternoon. Very windy. Much colder with highs around 20. West winds 25 to 35 mph...decreasing to 15 to 25 mph in the afternoon. Chance of snow 50 percent. Wind chill values as low as 7 below.
Five hundred hardback Crystal Soldiers are due to arrive on the road outside our house Wednesday morning. We are responsible for taking them from the road down our driveway (aka Lake Clancy -- it's a long story), up onto the deck and into the house. Best break out the sled and the hip boots. Not to mention the earmuffs and gloves...
