Monday to-do

A.  Go into town, hit the grocery, the post office, and maybe Juliet's bakery, because I'm outta cranberry/walnut cookies and I don't have time to bake today.  There, I knew I could come up with a good reason.

B. Finish the laundry.  Honest to ghu, who wears all these clothes?  *glares at Princess Jasmine Sprite*

C. Finish Interview One and send it on.  Stare at Interview Two for half-an-hour; put it aside to think about.

D.  The Gathering Edge -- move forward with the mmmmf and mmmfng thread.  A Theme seems to be emerging across the threads; always a Heady Moment.   The manuscript in all its threadiness now stands at 46,025 words.

E.  Finish reading my book.  I only have 30 more pages to go, and while I want to know what happens, the viewpoint is plucking my nerves.  Granted, the viewpoint is plucking her nerves, too, so at least we're on the same wave length.

F.  Review what we're voting on tomorrow.  Tomorrow is Election Day.  Pffft.

Was down at the pool by 5am (thanks, PST), swam for 1 hr 15 minutes. Home to tackle dishes, fix the day's meals, and head out for errands. We FINALLY have a decent rain going on here in NorCal, with snow in the mountains. We need lots and lots of the same this winter.

We seem to have a glorious Indian Summer day going here. I need to tie up loose ends regarding our office move, put away clothes, do some laundry top reduce the stack to one hamper's worth, pack, try not to cough my lungs out in the ongoing battle and go pick up our house-sitter.

We're getting our first semi-serious rain of the season - finally! - and I just got my new weather station put up in time. 1.10 inches so far. That should take care of fire danger for a couple of days.

Pay property tax. Prescription pick up. Massive stir fry for the weeks feed! Vacuum dust tiggers before they eat my shoes.

Our house taxes are paid via escrow, but our garage sits on a linked, but separate, parcel for which we have to pay the taxes separately.

Monday here was bright and sunny until late afternoon. It just started sprinkling on the way home with the kids, but we then had a microburst in the early evening, and lesser rain later. May we have more this season!

Today is waiting around at home for a delivery, and not working on what I should be doing. Also packing kids backpacks' for their old day care tomorrow--current one is closed tomorrow for parent-teacher conferences. Urm, also clean out fridge for trash pick-up tomorrow. Ick.
