No, not at all.

Someone sent me ... was it Quarter Share? which failed to engage my interest.

Ah. Sad. I've read them and listened to them and I'll be ready to read them again soon.

Yes, I enjoyed the Nathan Lowell books, in a quiet way.

I also very much enjoy the Ben Aaronovitch books. (And if you like audio books, the reader for these, Kobna Holdbrook-Smith, is superb.

What did you think of Rivers of London/Midnight Riot?

I love my dad, he's a caution a minute.

I liked it enough to order in the next three, though BN online did all it could to discourage me.

I liked the voice; the plot was clever; the magic was interesting. I of course very much liked that the Rivers of London are personified :) and the discussion of genuis loci. It was, I thought, a tiny bit long in the middle, but not enough to make me either put the book down, or skip over the tedious parts.

Excellent. It's been years since I read it and it was such fun to revisit.
