I can't tell whether it's a hoax. The lack of a real address or phone number on the contact page does suggest it, though. Also, the very negative comments on the letters page have not been censored; I'd expect real religious fanatics not to be that subtle.
If I see one of those deployed, I don't know how I would control the urge to trash the car. I'd probably manage, but it would be hard.
It is beyond me...no, actually it isn't, since the people who would turn the USA into a theocracy have no interest or sensitivity in the founding documents of our country.
"We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America."
And certainly they would hate the following:
"Amendment I - Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

The fish with the flag and 'Bush' in the center is truly one of the scariest things I've ever seen! Next thing you know, they'll be offering crucifixes with Bush on them.
Now, I'm no seperatist when it comes to government and religion. It's illogical to assume that our representatives don't bring their beliefs to the table when working in Washington (or anywhere else for that matter). No one is THAT bi-cerebral.
What DOES scare me is the need for some to allow ONE religion into the ivory halls. That's what scared the founding fathers, as well. They wanted many voices to be heard. Too bad, our current leaders on bent on listening to only one.
Six months or so ago, I saw on a car in New Hampshire a Fish, and inside the Fish, where the ones with the feet say "Darwin" and some of those without feet say "Jesus", was the word "Chips."
I cracked up and swore I'd have one for my own, but on cooler consideration decided that it might well and with reason offend non-wingnuts who happen to be christian, and so forebore from acquiring and displaying this particular Fish.
You miss the point, perhaps. It's not the fish, but the equating of Young George W with an All Powerful Being, and tying the bow with an American flag that rang my chimes. Much Very Wrong Subtext going on in that image.
A tool-using fish pretty much pales in comparison.
