Good News/Bad News
Wednesday, May 25th, 2005 01:35 pmSo, the Good News is the judge down there to Augusta released Peter Michaud on his own recognizance, and somebody came down from Waterville to give him a ride -- to what is unclear, being as his home's condemned, but it still counts as good that one of Peter's neighbors picked him up at the jail, intending to give him a ride back to town.
Except -- here's the Bad News -- Peter asked his friend to drop him off near the Hannaford grocery store in Augusta, saying that he intended to live in the woods nearby, where he wouldn't be bothered as much as he was in Waterville.
This is especially unfortunate, because there are a lot of people in town and elsewhere who want to help Peter out, if only he'll get in touch with his friend Chief Massey of the Waterville police department.
