Years ago, before my husband had gotten around to reading The Book of Atrix Wolfe, he asked me, "What's it about?" I thought for a moment and answered, "Words." Which sounds really peculiar unless you've read the book. I meant, of course, the power of words and the pitfalls of remaining silent. That's still one of my favorite books by McKillip.
