Boring Day

Did the gym thing, the banking thing, and the post office thing -- much good the latter did me. Came home, balanced the house checkbook, the SRM checkbook, and then paid bills, taking deep breaths the while. Shared dark chocolate with kinzel and then relieved my feelings by doing some writing. There's more to be done, obviously, but I realized that, as planned, I'll be doing duplicate scenes, which is ...Not Such a Good Thing, in a short story. So, I need to look at how to scrunch the stuff that has to happen into one less scene. Our Heroes ought to be able to wrap this up in a one night, doughty and resourceful types that they are...

In the meanwhile, Patia is wailing the kitchen, and has been for the last forty-five minutes, Ghu Alone knows why, which is not exactly conducive to thought. Might as well give in and feed her dinner, I guess. Why is it that the Dumb Animals always win these arguments?
