All righty, then...
Wednesday, September 21st, 2005 06:35 pmToday included a trip to the dentist, wherein the Tooth from Hell was given its permanent cap. Since there appears to (still!) be a pocket of infection, more antibiotics were prescribed. I'm sitting here looking at the instructions and side effects (both very scary) and trying to weigh whether or not I'm going to be taking this drug in this lifetime. The pharmacist agrees that clindamycin can be "nasty," which demonstrates why I adore my pharmacist -- there is no situation so dire that she's at a loss for an understatement.
Well, I'm definitely not taking this stuff tonight. Tomorrow, I'll call the doctor's office. Best thing I can think to do.
Despite the Fun With Drugs segment, the day was lovely -- bright, blue and breezy, with nary a rain cloud in sight. After the dental appointment,
kinzel and I hit Gifford's for milk shakes, then the pharmacy, and Children's Book Cellar, when
kinzel bought me a book -- The Birds of Maine, organized by color, which is about my speed.
That particular business taken care of, we took a small ride out to Newport, then back home by way of Staples, to take on paper, Scotch tape and other marvels.
We're now home, obviously, and I'm ...not precisely settled. I have a box of glow-in-the-dark bats (another kind gift from
kinzel), which I need to hang in appropriate places about the house -- but not, perhaps, tonight. Too much concentration needed. Tonight, maybe I'll watch Scaramouche...
