Six hours on, and not, thank ghod, starting at the break of day.

Today was another lovely sleep-in, then a ride to the post office through the four inches of overnight snowfall. The sun was bright, the breeze was up, Albion does zip about plowing its roads... Dinner was refrigerator soup, wheat bread and butter, with the last of Christmas dinner's wine. After, a private screening of The Ballad of Ramblin' Jack, a documentary of the life and art of Ramblin' Jack Elliott, made by his daughter, Aiyanna Elliott. I say again, Artists are terrible people. Our art -- no, the pursuit of our art -- makes us selfish, and abstracted, interesting, frustrating, and not necessarily lovable.

Some writing went forth, which pleaseath me. Note the brilliant and seamless segue.

All in all, another satisfying, low-key day. Now I'm for lunch and a more-or-less early bedtime.
