Full tonight, I do believe, though it's hidden behind the rain clouds.

As recounted elsewhere, [livejournal.com profile] kinzel and I did chore-like things this morning, in and around the gym thing. One of our members has lost her husband in Iraq -- Staff Sgt Dale James Kelly, Jr. There's talk of doing "something" for Nancy. One wonders what exactly that would be...

On our drive out to the post office, (living in eternal hope of that check, the existence of which is becoming less certain every day) a coyote crossed the road in front of us, moving at just slightly under light speed. Tall critter; at first glance -- I only got two -- I thought we had a deer running the road.

Had a nap after lunch, which was a good call, then sent off an application for a job (must fill position ASAP, says the ad. Fingers crossed...), did some SRM stuff, and wrote.

Now I'm tired again. Must be the rain...

Edited to add: Duh. Forgot to mention that a couple of pre-release authors' copies of the Balance of Trade mass market arrived today from Ace. Thanks, Ginjer!

If cash is hard, maybe a round robin with dinner. It still helps financially and lets her know others care. Also, visits if you don't see her at Curves or maybe even if you do. Other than that, no ideas. These are really just things to do when a loved one has died regardless of the cause. I am fortunate that none of my friends have family in Iraq.
