The Weekend in Retrospect

Quick post from my office where Gunshy lies in pieces on the desk and rug around me. I've got the damn' dates straightened around and reconciled them with Jen's shift at the paper. Jeez, it was cold in Central Maine in December 1989. Overall, progress is being made, though it's hard to see.

In other news:

* Blueberry stilton good

* kinzel and I have foolishly finished watching all available episodes of Princess Tutu and now join janni and lnhammer in waiting breathlessly for the Thrilling Conclusion. I must say, the Prince on raven's blood is much more interesting than the Prince on white bread.

* I have foolishly finished reading all the Fruits Baskets kindly lent to me by saruby. I now join the rest of the addicts in waiting breathlessly for Volume 14, due in August.

* The award ceremony for the First Annual Second Life Photography Contest last night was a blast.

* The writing backbrain is helpfully providing me with various notions and Cool Stuff for Carousel Tides, because, y'know, the backbrain never wants to work on the project it has on its plate now.

* The refrigerator is empty. Likewise the freezer. There's no getting around it -- today, we're going to have to go to the grocery store. Also? Dirty clothes have eaten the laundry room and I'm wearing my last pair of clean jeans. We need a wife, darnit.

Fortunately, I DO have a wife--or rather, a devoted househusband who makes it possible for me to work both the day job out at the tribal newspaper and nights freelancing.
