Because the test doesn't measure Patience, or Tolerance for People Who Are The Center of the Universe, or for Suffering Fools At All, nevermind Gladly.

Ah. I just had a candidate for an election at a group I care about reveal his true colors (his tenure would be a nightmare) and now we've got to stop him before things get worse. "Suffering fools" seems very apt right now....

Rolanni was fine with keeping SFWA going until the people with personal agendas got the "Sharon is a self-published, amateur author" blather to the important guys. Some of the important guys were too important to check up on it... I note that Bob Silverberg and Norman Spinrad were clueful enough to see they'd been fed a line.
Others...others apparently wanted to be adored more than they wanted to hear or speak the truth.
Symmetry works well when dealing with honest folks. Balance, now. Balance works over time.

At least some of our long time members investigate before taking action. But only some.
