The World Returns

We've been having intermittent and gradually worsening problems with our ISP. Suddenly and without warning, the internet will vanish, mail will stop arriving, and we here at the Fortress of Solitude find ourselves well and truly alone. This morning, in the longest stretch of isolation to date, we logged five-plus hours without an internet connection, long enough that Electron Withdrawal began to set in.

Not pretty. Not pretty at all.

On the other hand, I got some writing done, and will be doing some more after I pack a few books and eat dinner.

...more books got packed. We're now halfway through S. There will likely be an additional small delay mailing the last of the alphabet, as we wait upon the arrival of renewed postage money from the publisher.

More words got written, too. Today's labors put me on the far side of two required scenes that I'd been struggling with (insert the wild cheering of thousands here) and sets me up for Fun New Stuff tomorrow.
