The rest of the day
Wednesday, March 23rd, 2005 08:52 pm...more books got packed. We're now halfway through S. There will likely be an additional small delay mailing the last of the alphabet, as we wait upon the arrival of renewed postage money from the publisher.
More words got written, too. Today's labors put me on the far side of two required scenes that I'd been struggling with (insert the wild cheering of thousands here) and sets me up for Fun New Stuff tomorrow.

Date: 2005-03-24 07:49 am (UTC)Probably today. I have a tracking number, but all the post office will own up to at the moment is that the package was mailed at Waterville on March 22.

Hope the writing is good today!
Yeah, me, too. Have thus far spent far too much of my morning trying to figure out the State of Maine's small business annual report paperwork. It's looking like the town finally giving us a street address is going to cost SRM an extra $35, on top of the $80 annual yep-we're-still-in-business-no-thanks-to-the-state fee. Not that I'm bitter, or anything...

Date: 2005-03-24 11:07 pm (UTC)Back to work on taxes tomorrow. I just found out there may be a county tax I was unaware I owed--it's on real property of the business only, which might mean my table and bolsters, but I never heard of it. Don't own the building. Since I pay sales tax every year, you'd think I'd have received the paperwork on it before now? But I have no DBA--it costs a lot extra to have one in my business. Maybe no DBA, no tax...
In the meantime, I lost six hours to the distraction in my mailbox. Well done--and I think it will be an excellent entry point for new fans to discover you.
yeaaaa
Date: 2005-03-24 05:26 am (UTC)Not what you want to hear now when you are working so hard but but but write more write faster!!! Now I need to read it :)
Re: yeaaaa
Date: 2005-03-24 07:52 am (UTC)It's thinner than I thought it would be, too. Looking inside, it seems like the publisher was playing with margins and font size. Not sure about that as a Concept. But, then, as my eyes get older I find I appreciate white space and larger type...

Date: 2005-03-24 08:08 am (UTC)As for margins and white space, put me down, too. I appreciate the fact that MM usually uses a larger type than some. Hope that hasn't changed.
