Panelists discuss the "hard" science of writing in a relativistic universe. Are all our SF stories of warp drives and Faster-Than-Light spaceships really fantasy? Without a premise of FTL drive, we are locked into either our own solar system or into the use of generation ships. How much of our modern SF assumption of FTL travel is actually possible within the real world of physics? And if some sort of FTL drive is possible, what will be the effects of relativity on those who travel the stars?
