Rumors of my death...
Thursday, January 25th, 2007 08:02 pm...are only slightly exaggerated.
The cold, it got worse, necessitating time off from work, to the delight of the cats, who are both in favor of Rolanni coming home in the middle of the day to have a looooonnnnnggggg nap. Hopefully, I'm through the worst of the disease now and will see swift improvement from now on.
Of course, I said that yesterday...
My office is on the second floor of the campus library. It's sort of like a loft office, reachable by an open-plan staircase that reminds me of my days living in an ...interesting apartment in a converted theater in downtown Baltimore. The ceilings being high, it's quite a walk from the sidewalk level to the second floor, and I invariably stop three-quarters of the way up for a breather. Which is humiliating. My one consolation is that I will soon have Thews of Iron.
One takes one's consolations where one finds them, I suppose.
