Thanks are in order
Thursday, August 2nd, 2007 07:28 pmMy friend thanks everyone who came forward with suggestions for her son's reading pleasure -- and I thank you, too. You guys are awesome!
I paid a visit to my new!improved! office at work today. I have a new carpet -- deep blue with white flecks, like stars -- a new paint job -- white walls with a blue accent wall)and a brand new drop ceiling. We do not have new air conditioning -- or even any air conditioning -- but we have new duct-work and will thereby have "circulation" and "outside air." This will be, trust me, an improvement.
Physical Plant tells us that we can move back in on August 15, which gives everybody time to unpack before students begin descending upon us, looking for Vitamin Edumakasion.
Very, very hot here today -- ninety, eek! And, yes, there was a time when I would have laughed my hot-blooded southern head off at me, wilting in a little bit of heat, so you hotland folks go ahead.
Progress on Duainfey
Today's Special:
"Well, now," she said conversationally; "where have you left your rider?"
The filly stamped one emphatic forefoot, waking a irritation of bells.
"I understand," Becca murmured. "Plainly he is an idiot. I sympathize with your predicament and applaud your forthright action. Alas, we cannot leave him to lie in a ditch."
