rolanniMy friend thanks everyone who came forward with suggestions for her son's reading pleasure -- and I thank you, too. You guys are awesome!
I paid a visit to my new!improved! office at work today. I have a new carpet -- deep blue with white flecks, like stars -- a new paint job -- white walls with a blue accent wall)and a brand new drop ceiling. We do not have new air conditioning -- or even any air conditioning -- but we have new duct-work and will thereby have "circulation" and "outside air." This will be, trust me, an improvement.
Physical Plant tells us that we can move back in on August 15, which gives everybody time to unpack before students begin descending upon us, looking for Vitamin Edumakasion.
Very, very hot here today -- ninety, eek! And, yes, there was a time when I would have laughed my hot-blooded southern head off at me, wilting in a little bit of heat, so you hotland folks go ahead.

Date: 2007-08-03 01:22 pm (UTC)Have they been done as graphic novels? (Serious question) The kid in question Doesn't Do Reading unless it's in graphic novel form (a breakthrough, as he used to Just Not Read at all). Also, he doesn't read stories about girls.
