rolanni: (drosselmeyer)
...Today is one of those days that I consider the qualifying clause unnecessary. Just so y'all know.

First, thanks to the folks who responded to the plea for Regency doctor terminology! I think I'm on the case.

This morning, I had to take some time out from Longeye to complete a project that should have been done in -- ulp! -- September. One of those things I kept meaning to get to, when things settled down. Which I had foolishly supposed that they would have done by now. I'm now looking at things settling down by the beginning of the summer. Call me a crazy optimist. And! I still haven't started the taxes. This may be a personal best...

There seems to be some confusion regarding Duainfey and sequel Longeye among some quarters of the internets. Let it be known that these books are dark fantasies, they are not space opera. I'm being totally straight with you here, right? Right.

In Saltation news, donations equal to the publication of six chapters have been received since last Sunday night, so those folks who were getting jittery about whether or not they'd be seeing a new chapter on Monday? You can breathe now.

We will be getting a shiny! Saltation web presence up RSN -- see "settled down," above. In the meantime, we're gonna run what we brung, which ain't pretty, but, with the application of a little patience and elbow grease, works fine.

And now I'm going to get off of this confounded machine and rest my mousing hand.

Stay warm, everybody.

Progress on Longeye:

27976 / 100000 words.
28% done!
