Yep, still sick
Sunday, August 17th, 2008 02:46 pm...I think that's supposed to change soon.
Harking back to Denver and the pleasantries thereof, on the Monday after the con,
saruby was gracious enough to take me to Elitch Gardens in order that I might view (and ride!) the carousel. The carousel I rode is the second Philadelphia Toboggan Company carousel at Elitch Gardens (which has itself moved at least once), purchased in 1928 to replace the original carousel -- purchased in 1908, which is now in use elsewhere in Colorado (I cleverly did not take a picture of the plaque explaining these mysteries, being sure I would remember the details. Silly writer.)
I did, however, take some pictures of the carousel and other points of interest around the park, and, in between hacking my lungs out, I dug them out of the camera.

A follower, but beautiful nonetheless

A monkey, because you can never have too many monkeys
And now...a nap.
