Yep, still sick

Harking back to Denver and the pleasantries thereof, on the Monday after the con, saruby was gracious enough to take me to Elitch Gardens in order that I might view (and ride!) the carousel. The carousel I rode is the second Philadelphia Toboggan Company carousel at Elitch Gardens (which has itself moved at least once), purchased in 1928 to replace the original carousel -- purchased in 1908, which is now in use elsewhere in Colorado (I cleverly did not take a picture of the plaque explaining these mysteries, being sure I would remember the details. Silly writer.)

I did, however, take some pictures of the carousel and other points of interest around the park, and, in between hacking my lungs out, I dug them out of the camera.

My cold hit me hard on Saturday, and it wasn't until Wednesday that I started feeling normal. Sinuses are still draining like a where-is-this-stuff-coming-from, and I still have a cough.

Yikes. This bug oughta get an honorable mention in the Blight of the Year listings. I can't remember the last time I've been this sick.

Burlington, CO, I think. I'll let you know the next time I'm there (Elitch's, not Burlington).

I am just starting to feel better myself, but still coughing a lot and my head feels like someone stuffed it full of cotton or rocks or something.

Every time I saw it on a map, I kept wanting to read it as "Eldritch Gardens," which would've made for a rather interesting story.
