rolanni: (Jenka)
AsyouknowBob, this year's Yule chapbook will contain two Brand! New! stories. Through the wonders of caffeine, we have achieved titles for those stories, to wit: "Moon on the Hills," and "Hidden Resources." The book itself will be titled Halfling Moon.

Off to SRM Galactic Headquarters in a few to worry at the new mailing program, then home to the joys and pleasures of updating databases, with a side order of bookkeeping.

I walked into the business end of a beam yesterday. Whacked my head hard enough to raise stars and knock me to my knees. After the initial omiGHODthathurt I forgot about it -- no headache, no blood, no bruising on the bad knee (it had to be the bad knee I hit hardest, right?). The worst of it seemed to be that I'd oiled the knees of a perfectly good pair of jeans and scared the hell out of Steve.

Today, I woke to find that the bad knee is swollen and starting to turn Interesting Colors. And as the day wears on, my shoulder and back are joining in the general chorus of "Hey, did we get hit with a hammer or something?" Sigh.

We're back from Galactic Headquarters, obviously. It looks like I'm going to be dividing the subscriber database into chunks of, oh 24 entries apiece, since the new postage program prints dated postage that must be used that day. Steve will be doing the bulk of the mailing himself, and he can always serially print chunks of 24, if things are going speedily.

In the meantime, I have a few updated addresses to enter into the subscriber database, and some Saltation orders to enter before I get with the bookkeeping and the splitting up of databases.

Mozart is asleep on the bed, clever fellow that he is...

Updating the database reveals that there are only 145 copies of Saltation left for preorder. Those interested may adopt from this page
