rolanni: (shigure)
So, we finished up the last episode of Brisco County Jr. last night. I, and I think it fair to say, Steve and Hexapuma also, had a great time with it. The writers' did a good job throughout, I thought, and while some episodes were lighter than others, I didn't notice the decline into idiocy we'd been warned to expect. I was especially glad that the writers' took the care to wind up various necessary loose ends at the end, and to reassure the viewers that They're Still Out There, Kicking Butt, Taking Names, and Punning.

One detail that I missed. Can someone tell me spoilers behind the cut )

I have in my Netflix queue Jack of All Trades, for which I have high hopes. Next up is. . . Tristam Shandy, I do believe, which appears to be a film about trying to film Tristam Shandy.

. . .except not for secretaries. Unless I want to use vacation days. Which I don't. I have Other Uses for my vacation days. My company today was the building's maintenance guy, who has to hurry up and clean everything to a high shine before the troops descend on Wednesday, and a befuddled visitor, who couldn't seem to grasp that, yes, he was in the library building, but he wasn't in the library. And, yes, it really does matter which stairway you use. The building I work in isn't on a level with the Escher Hilton, but it has its crochets.

It was -- and remains -- a pretty day; bright blue, breezy and tolerably warm, after a wake-up temp of 29F/-2C. The weatherbeans are calling a low of 30F/-1Cs again tonight, with a possibility of snow.

thinks snow would be pretty

Steve is off to chess this evening, and I'm off for an appointment in town. Guess we'd better read tonight's chapter before we both go running off in all directions at once.
