So, we finished up the last episode of Brisco County Jr. last night. I, and I think it fair to say, Steve and Hexapuma also, had a great time with it. The writers' did a good job throughout, I thought, and while some episodes were lighter than others, I didn't notice the decline into idiocy we'd been warned to expect. I was especially glad that the writers' took the care to wind up various necessary loose ends at the end, and to reassure the viewers that They're Still Out There, Kicking Butt, Taking Names, and Punning.

One detail that I missed. Can someone tell me . . .

. . .if Socrates Poole was seen again after he's taken by the bad guys on his way to see the President? I can't place him in a subsequent scene.

I have in my Netflix queue Jack of All Trades, for which I have high hopes. Next up is. . . Tristam Shandy, I do believe, which appears to be a film about trying to film Tristam Shandy.

It's been ages since I watched The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr. - I must schedule it into the DVD viewing cycle! I loved that show :-) I can't remember if Socrates shows up again after being grabbed, but I can't imagine that the writers would have left that big a loose end if they knew they'd been canceled.

I was never able to get into Jack of All Trades, though I knew people who liked it, so maybe it was just me.

I loved Brisco Co. Jr., and was amused when I saw Firefly that they seem to be sort of the inverse of each other, in that Brisco Co. was a SF show in a Western setting, while Firefly was a Western in a SF setting.
