So, I have a job again, Sunday through Thursday on the 3-11 shift, starting Monday, July 31. Not exactly sure what all that was about, but it's lovely to have prospects of income.

The weather outside is frightful, the air conditioners are on, much to Mozart's disgust, and I'm noodling away at Carousel Tides. There is an impressive amount of stuff hinted at and implied in those two zipped chapters. I believe I may have discovered why the so-called Compleat Draft came up short...

[livejournal.com profile] kinzel is back from hunting and gathering in the humid heat, and reports Shaw's awash with Summer People. This is, despite appearances, a Good Thing, and puts to rest early fears that the seasonal residents would stay away in droves, hostage to the hideous cost of gas.

And now, back to work...

EDITED TO ADD: Kit Jimenez is selling some of her land holdings in Second Life. If you're in the game and looking to acquire some land in lovely, snow-covered, PG, Boreal, IM Kit for info. Now, I'm going back to work. Really.

Hurrah for job! I hope you're a night person. Or is it a very early morning person?

As it happens, I am a night-person and working the 3p.m. to 11 p.m. shift won't put me much later than my normal bedtime, and leaves the morning's free to do necessary errands and meet various pre-scheduled doctor's appointments. It makes sense to have One Good Car rather than Two Ratty Cars Always In Need of Repair, but it does make scheduling interesting when one of us needs the car to, say, go to work. An Albion-Unity bus line would be nice, but I can't see anybody around who needs to lose their shirt...

Sigh. The above was me. I could've sworn I was logged in.
