The day was consumed by office work. Balanced several checkbooks, filed and such. Did dishes. And laundry. Finally called to make an appointment with the eye doctor and scored for next Thursday. Baffled and amazed the cats. Wrote a smidge. Noticed with bemusement that my floor is disappearing again. Perhaps I need a wife.

Runninng that financial empire of yours takes away from your writing, doesn't it?

Well, y'know...Doing the clerical stuff for SRM Publisher is my dayjob, kinda. And honestly, I can't write eight hours a day, except at the blue-white end of a project. Which is probably why I usually feel beat up, run over, and 'sploded by the time I get to type --30--
