A couple weeks ago, a friend sent me a CD called Cat Tales by Cindy Mangsen. I just now listened to it, and I'm sorry I let it sit neglected for so long. Favorites on first listening: "Guide Cats for the Blind," "Rudy's Big Adventure," and "The Cats of the Coliseum."

And! You -- yes, you -- can hear samples

Yup, that's the Les Barker piece, in a rather nice setting.

Higartner is not only underrated, but very sweet--at least she was to me, when I ambushed her in the dealers room at WorldCon and gushed at her, apologized profousely for not haveing managed to catch her at a proper autographing session, and asked her if she could possibly sign my freshly-bought used copy of "Colors in the Dreamweaver's Loom" which I remembered very fondly from childhood.

I thought I was the only person who'd read "Colors in the Dreamweaver's Loom"! Have you read the sequel, "Feast of the Trickster"? I wound up buying it directly from the author, because I couldn't find it anywhere else. (This was back when rocks were soft, the web was new, and books.com was the world's first bookstore-by-telnet.)

Also: That's a lovely userpic.

No, but, judging from her reaction, we may be the two...

And thank you; it's a Kinuku Craft (Sp?) painting from the cover of a book about Eleanor of Aquitaine. As I'm a 12th century costuming nut, I have to carefully ignore the fact that the dress is a complete fantasy, but it is a lovely picture.
