Oh, joy...
Date: 2006-10-11 05:39 pm (UTC)But that's hard work! I've been in limbo -- does LLB no longer need you, or are you just looking for better pay/hours?
Wish the money stream was better for you.

Date: 2006-10-11 05:56 pm (UTC)My cousin Bean has in fact rehired me for the coming Season. I start Wednesday.
However, Bean is only a temporary solution to an unfortunate fiscal problem. Between the doctor/dentist bills (to which you are no stranger, yourself), the $200/month rise in health insurance coming to us in January, slow pays and, in one unfortunate instance, no pay, not to mention the over-exuberance of the economy in general... Anyhow, we're strapped. So, I'm looking for work and the writing will have to be catch-as-catch-can. I'm not happy about it, but I feel that I'd be less happy living under a bridge.
At least I got to write the ocean story...

Date: 2006-10-11 08:03 pm (UTC)Know this all too well. I have always lived frugally, which is why I have real savings...but my line is long-lived, and I must get well to stash more in there -- it will grow to enough in 15 years, but not unless I stop drawing on it!
