Went to breakfast. Beverages at the Liberty Square restaurant were free today, in honor of election day (the restaurant is located next to the VFW hall which doubles as the town's polling place). Our waitress inquired if we had voted, and was happy to hear that we intended to that thing directly we had finished breakfast. When our bill came, "VOTE!" was written on the back of it.

So, we voted. I was encouraged to see many voters at the polls (including a school bus, which had brought in a bunch of folks who had needed a ride to the polls), though our wait was minimal.

After, we took off to celebrate our anniversary (which was yesterday, but who had time?) and have now returned, richer by one Beddy Bear Buddy in the shape of a grey goose (and considerably cheaper at the downcoast Hannaford than they are on the website.)

I need to be at work and on the phones at 7:30 tomorrow morning, so I'm not long for an upright position.

P'raps I'll warm the goose up in the microwave and take it to bed.

'nite...

I DID vote today. And, yesterday was your anniversary? Aw, sweet. Congratulations! A good day, too . . . it was my birthday, too.

I voted this morning at ten and had only a short line. Encouraging to see that many people there.

For some reason the phrase "fully microwavable soft toys" just makes me giggle.

Now is it the contrast with partially microwavable soft toys or with fully microwavable hard toys that makes those chuckles?

Inquiring minds want to know!

I think it's the contrast with "partially microwavable" toys. Like--you can only microwave the head? Or microwave them on low power only?

Fair warning? My wife had a grain-filled warmer a few years ago. Unfortunately, it either was not turning on the microwave turntable or possibly was left in too long. We suspect it simply wasn't turning.

In any case, it developed hot spots and caught on fire. More like smoldering than actual flame, however my wife decided to discard it. Sad, really, because she did like it very much until it smoked in bed.

Maybe I will try to get her another one, now that I think about it. Thanks for the reminder!
