Dadrabbit!
Sunday, January 21st, 2007 06:43 pmI have a cold, which I So Much Do Not Need. As a result, I haven't gotten as much done this weekend as I had hoped, and tomorrow is Monday, which is now something other than simply One of Seven. Sigh, sigh, arrgh.
Well, at least I got some work done. As a reward as much as a concession to the cold,
kinzel and I watched Kate and Leopold last night. Leaving aside the obvious plot holes, wobbly characterization, and Meg Ryan's hideous haircut, I enjoyed myself hugely. And Hugh Jackman is very easy on the eyes...
In the world of podcasts, I note that Peter Beagle and Connor Cochran (or Freff, as I was introduced to him, mumblemumble years ago) will be interviewed at noon Eastern, 9 a.m. Pacific on Wednesday, January 24. Read the press release for more information.
For those who may have been living under a rock for the last forty-odd years, or who were abducted by aliens or something -- Peter Beagle is a superb writer and you should go out right now and buy everything the man has ever written, lock yourself in your bedroom and not come out until you've read every word. Really.
It has been brought to my attention that the first of the two Baen five-book Liaden Universe® e-compilations is listed, along with a description.
Remember! The first chapter of Fledgling goes live tomorrow at noon Eastern! Be there or be square.
I see that we have a 50-50 chance of snow tomorrow, and that the weather beans are calling for a high of 23F/-5C. Hey, it's not Baltimore -- but what is?

Date: 2007-01-22 12:16 am (UTC)So true, so true. If they ever make a live action film of Fruits Basket, I think he would make a superb Shigure.

Date: 2007-01-22 12:59 am (UTC)As appealing as I personally find that idea, I suspect my boss might object when I didn't show up for work.

Date: 2007-01-22 02:12 am (UTC)Feel better! Your icon is very true...I know what you mean about "other than simply". I resent every ADD moment this blasted condition has given me, because I see it as stolen writing time.
May you have only enough snow for beauty tomorrow!

Date: 2007-01-22 04:04 am (UTC)Can't wait for Fledging tomorrow--it's just a darn shame I have to wait until I get home from work to see it. Good luck with the snow--AND the cold! Definitely, good luck....
