Who is that masked woman?
Saturday, February 3rd, 2007 06:45 pmThe past week at work has been ...interesting. Monday starts the new semester, whereupon I am promised Adventures of All Hue and Stripe. We shall see.
One of the nice things was the Library Soup Party on Wednesday, the last day of JanPlan. The director of the library told me that January is National Soup Month and that the first library he worked for, as a young librarian just hatched from library school, had a Soup Party on the last day of the month, where everyone brought in a crockpot of their favorite homemade soup, or homemade bread, or desert. He thought it was lovely, and took the tradition with him when he left for another job, and has now infected Central Maine. I'm glad.
Had about five inches of snow on the overnight, followed by a sunny and very windy today. Winter at last! At least for the weekend. Monday, the weather beans are calling for a high of 8F(-8C), which isn't winter so much as cruel and unusual punishment.
My updated Boskone scheduled arrived sometime this afternoon.
kinzel and I will get a Consolidated Schedule up RSN.
Some scheduling changes have been made to the Fledgling page, notably this:
There will be no chapter posted on May 28 (authors' traveling rule invoked). Chapter 18 will therefore be posted on June 4, chapter 19 on June 11, chapter 20 on June 18 and chapter 21 on June 25.
It's a crisp and sparkly night out, and I hear the snowmobiles grumbling down the dark...
