Back from hospital. All's well, except that I seem to have slept all day and about to, um, go take a nap.

Today's stand-out experience: heated blankets.

OOOOO I love heated blankets especially after surgery.

The last surgery I had to have a few years ago was my first experience with heated blankets. Feels sooooooo good! :) If I ever have another surgery and there aren't heated blankets, I shall be sorely disappointed. I am officially spoiled where the blankets are concerned now. :)

Yes, heated blankets are wonderful.

Hoping you have a quick recovery!

More good thoughts. And virtual warm blankets.

Hey! I always ask for the heated blankets: even before I get cold.

Almost the absolute best part of having a baby was the heated blanket when it was all over...

What did you do? Too many of us are heading into Emergency Rooms lately. At least they have started using heated blankets there as well as in surgery recovery.

My favorite was when the nurses referred to the OR as "room temperature" -- and I pointed out that walk-in-freezer was the level of that room.

I work in an OR, and can attest that it is NOT "room temperature"! I always wear a scrub jacket and have been known to wrap the heated blankets around myself!

Heated Blankets

I never had heated blankets! Could have used them in rehabilitation facility 5 years ago. They gave me some kiind of super hot water bottle, that had hot water running thru the pipes, instead. Almost did the trick.

I can remember at least one hospital proceedure that left me groggy, an endoscopy. They practically put me out for it, and on return to the recovery room, it would have kept me asleep except for the blood pressure cuff, on automatic, it would swell and beep just when I got back to sleep!

Just spotted this as I try to catch up a little on LJ.

I hope the recovery is continuing to go well!
