Down in the belly of the last post, [livejournal.com profile] paw3pals asks:

Also am enjoying the glimpses. As it is a Baen book, any way to get the snippets over to Binjali's?

This is a reasonable request. However, there Comes a Time in Every Author's Life when a choice needs to be made between complying with even reasonable requests -- and getting the dern book done. If the Author in question is a Very Good Author -- well, I think you know what choice they'll make.

So, here it is: I post here as a sort of compromise middle-ground, accessible to everyone with 'net access. The Baen folks know the blog is here, and can get to it; folks who don't go to the Bar know the blog is here and can get to it. And, just frankly, some days it's a stretch for me to get here to post progress and snippet.

All that said, if a Bar regular would like to take up the task of creating a topic and transporting the snippets over to Binjali's -- you have my permission and my thanks.

If you'd like to make this job your own, drop me a note in email.

Please also tell the Eager Beaver that traditionally, snippets are given out about two to three months before an e-arc -- not when the book is maybe 1/3 done!!!

Someone out there should please just sit down and let Our Writers do their job without harrassment!

Good lord! I snippet for Ringo on the Bar but I also don't do that until he has given me the entire book. Granted for one it wasn't the final edit but still someone needs to be smacked on the nose with a rolled up newspaper.

Actually, I read it as "could we transplant them if we had permission" rather than asking you to do it. Which permission you have now given...

And thanks for the blog and snippets, whenever you do them. I don't expect you to post every day (heck, my LJ gets updated randomly averaging about once a month, how can I complain!), it's just nice to know you're still OK occasionally. And anything else you happen to feel like telling us.

And yes, your snippets are whetting the appetite for the book...

Keristor is right, in no way was I asking the author to do more work; snippets anywhere and at any time are a gift from authors. Also, thanx kalimeg for explaining when snippets are usually given out.
