Had a long nap today, trying to shake off the headache/general malaise before it became an all-grown-up migraine. I'm still kind of achy-queasy, but I think I've dodged the worst of it.

One heckuva  thunderstorm came through around 6:30, and was all over twenty minutes later. Maine weather, ayuh.

Tomorrow, the inspection of the new!improved! work quarters is first thing on the schedule. I expect to spend the rest of the day packing up temp headquarters to be schlepped back up the hill.

"You slept badly," she said then, throwing one slender leg over the arm of the chair, and cradling her cup between her hands. "In our house."

rolanni, have you tried the new migraine drugs? i've suffered with migraine since i was five years old ("atypical early onset") and only managed to live life relatively free of them since beginning the change in my late forties. i still have occasional migraines and my doctor game me something called Relpax. she game me a free sample and i was totally unbelieving until i had a migraine and took the meds. it is not a pain medication, it works on whatever makes a migraine a migraine and will not work on other forms of headache. but in 20-30 minutes the headache is GONE leaving you with a post-migraine aura but pain free. most doctors can give you a couple of samples (the meds are expensive) to try before you buy.

I had Imitrex, which worked fine, as long as you timed it right (though it cost the earth), but I don't get migraines that often, we were broke, and I didn't renew the prescription (see "cost the earth," above). Now that we have health insurance, though, and a job with set hours, I'd better have something on hand, just in case. A thirty-minute knock-out sounds super. *Writes 'relpax' on list of things to remember*
