Thunderstorms on the overnight. Despite both Mozart and Scrabble concentrating Sleep Ray production in the bedroom, a restless night. Big pot o'coffee on the brew.

A Territory Ahead catalog arrived in the mail within the last couple days. I looked through it last night and immediately identified various items of clothing that would infinitely spruce up my (currently very limited) day-job clothes closet. A nice wool jacket, and some machine-washable silk-and-cotton shirts to replace my beloved dark blue silk shirt which has gotten too shabby to wear, a nice sweater. Oh, and a vest, 'cause you can never have enough vests.

*Sigh*. I think the nurses mixed up my fashion sense with the kid in the crib next to me at the hospital...

Today looks to be a busy one at the job, while I play ketchup on two projects I was supposed to have known needed to be done without fail directly school starts -- and
which I would have know about by osmosis, I guess -- then a full weekend with Duainfey.

So, what're y'all doing this weekend?

Happy birthday!

Octavia Butler had a book published this year entitled "Fledgling"...will there be a problem for you?

I'm pretty sure that nobody is going to mistake our work for Octavia's, and...

You can't copyright titles.

To demonstrate this, a story: In the year 1988, no fewer than three books bearing the title Agent of Change were published. One was a chemistry textbook; the second, by a gentleman named Steve Miller (aka "Trade Show Steve," who forwarded our fan mail to us for years, kind man) was a book about how to put on trade shows; and the third was a science fiction paperback original with a giant turtle on the cover.
