Sigh.

In all the (hopefully-now-behind-us) confusion, disturbance and shortness of funds, I fell off the wagon at gym, which was not a good idea at all. Since a membership to the on-campus gym is one of the benefits of working at the college, I went on down this afternoon and got myself acquainted.

My last gym was a genteel, girly place. The college gym -- not so much. The place was packed. There were people throwing enormous weights into the air and catching them one-handed, people hanging head-down from equipment I don't know the name of and wish never to approach any closer than I did today, and people doing power-lunges down the thin rows between the various pieces of equipment, oblivious to any other foot traffic.

I did find the weights and the elliptical and other familiar objects, and had a nice, thorough evaluation by the resident fitness expert, who also showed me how to modify some of the weight exercises for home consumption. I hope to start getting myself back into the groove.

It was sunny! today, and felt warm, though Steve assures me it wasn't, particularly, and I managed to stay awake all day. Go, me.

Just decided to read Theo's latest, which I haven't gotten to yet. Usually I just go to Korval.com but I didn't see a link there. So I clicked the link for Fledgling and there wasn't a link there either. I'm off to go find the linkie...

I was distressed to find no link from the main site as well. I guess it forces me to be a little less lazy:)

See? Awake and warm all day; instant payback for healthy workout.

I changed my time at my gym and am happy to say lucked into a more girly and geriatric hour. Much nicer (for me) than those disturbing hanging upside down men dripping sweat!

Sigh. there is a lovely gym And free lunch clasees at work - but now that I actually know what I'm supposed to be doing, I can't tear myself away to go to them! I haven't had my walk outside in a month! I'm promising myself to do AT LEAST that much once my current crisis is over (haven't left on time since two weeks ago and even went in on Saturday for five hours! Unheard of!)The situation calls for it, however - when the boss was reminding people not to do overtime without approval, he specifically said "Not you, Nina."
