Duainfey is scheduled for release on September 2, and is available for pre-order from Amazon.com, BN.com, and your favorite local indie bookstore.
In addition to being the first original novel Lee and Miller have done with Baen Books, Duainfey is also something of an artistic departure for us. It is a dark romantic fantasy, set in a Regency-like society, with Fey. Think a cross between Laurell K. Hamilton's early Merry Gentry books, and Jane Eyre.

Fledgling and Saltation
As the news struck about Baen buying both Fledgling and Saltation, we had a flurry of inquiries from people who had, or thought they had, pre-ordered one or the other, or both. As things have settled out, some folks wanted two copies of Fledgling but had subscribed for three, and some wanted both Fledgling and Saltation but had actually only named one when they ordered.
What this means is that we still have room for a few more pre-orders of Fledgling -- well, maybe for a few dozen orders. If you want a pre-order for Fledgling, please do it this month. Even this week, if you can.
Meanwhile, there are (only!) 510 pre-orders of Saltation left -- meaning some people have pre-ordered Fledgling and have yet to pre-order Saltation. Since the authors will be quite busily writing the new Liaden novel as well as whipping the two Theo books into shape over the coming months, clearing the paperwork out of the way will make it easier for everyone.

Ordering Lee and Miller books from the new catalog at http://www.srmpublisher.com is easy if you're using PayPal, but you can use other credit cards by following the ordering process and pressing the PayPal button, after which you'll find credit card options on the gateway.

Liaden Universe® Companion Volume One Mass Market
We mentioned last time that printing costs are going up so we won't be able to reprint the mass market Liaden Universe® Companion Volume One at the same price next time around. We still have around 300 copies left but expect them to be gone by the end of the year. We're seeing prices of $15 and $18 for it online -- but you can get it from SRM for $10 until we go to reprint, if we do at all.

Lots of folks are interested in ebooks these days, and as most of our readers know we've been supporting ebooks for years. The new thing for many readers is the Amazon Kindle ... but you can't find our ebooks on the Amazon site. The secret? You don't need to go through amazon.com to get your fiction -- you can use Webscription ebooks on the Kindle!
