My first memory

I picked up "Conflict of Honors" - I don't remember where or when. It was probably in Boston while I was at university. I was struck by the vividness of the characters...as whacky as Shan seemed at first, he was REAL, he was believable. The rest, well, I felt like I could invite them over for wine and cheese, no worries.

Then I saw "Agent of Change", and I thought, "Hmn, aren't they the same people who committed, er, wrote that book with Priscilla? Oooh, they ARE. Good, they're repeat offenders!" I have bought each book as I came upon them in stores, devouring each morsel with joy. It wasn't until I moved to Baltimore to work on the Hubble that I made the connection with Timonium and Middle River and now I still smack my head at how clueless I was.

Sharon, you and Steve are amazing and I am in awe of your art. I would read anything you write, including anything boring (like menus or technical journals).

Hey, I never worked on Hubble! Where DOES Middle River come in? Someone needs to build us a Liaden companion like the ones for Dorothy Dunnets' Lymond books, that explains all the little quotes and things.. sigh.

Middle River is where Edger's from, silly! :) Seriously, I should really get permission from Rolanni and Kinzel (when they get back from holiday) before drawing connections.
