Moving right along

So, yesterday I crashed Mac at the day-job. Bam! Down it went, and when I tried to turn it back on, I'd get the Apple and clock screen; the clock would spin and spin and spin -- and Mac would take himself offline. Very amusing.
Not.
The ITS guy came over and took Mac away for observation, and delivered him hale and sassy this morning. The "table of contents database" became corrupted? Um, OK.
So, spent a glorious day deconstructing the many three-ring binders full of Important Stuff that I had so painstakingly constructed over the course of the academic year, shredded a buncha over-date files, ran some errands before it got 'way too hot, and in general had a peaceful, productive day. Next work day is Monday; after that, I'm off for eight days. Vacation! Well, I'll be taking the Fledgling draft with me, and The Leewit, but -- Vacation! Yay!
I've caught up the Saltation donations, and I am pleased to announce that we have placed 727 books. Only 473 left for adoption!
The writer brain has been Staring Balefully, off and on, mostly just fingering over shiny bits of story-stuff and giggling. I'm not sure I actually want to inquire too closely into the process at this point.
