Never mind.

Scary ol' day at the day-job. I hit a wall at half-an-hour-to-quitting-time and broke out The Shortest Way to Hades by Sarah Cauldwell, with which I had foresightfully provided myself that morning. Almost as good a tonic as Girl Genuis.

Came home, had ice cream, took a nap, awoke not much improved, realized that there was something I could be first-drafting, after all, and so wrote for a while. Knocking off now for the evening.

G'night.

Just so you know, speaking as a faculty member who often wants to whack my head against the wall when confronted by certain stupidities, I think that Laurie Notaro's books are an amazing antidote.

Seriously. Laugh out loud. She's got a number of books.

That would depend which department they belong to and what you wanted it changed into.

Just saw "Burn After Reading" and it did relieve some of the frustration of dealing with educational bureaucracy. It would seem that there are situations even more absurd. Watching Brad Pitt play the dumb blonde is fun too.

Oooooh! I love Sarah Caudwell! Such a pity she only wrote four books....
