I loved Tim Russert and so wish he were here right now. He always talked about how everyone filters through their ideological prism - which begs the question of how can my prism be so different from people I otherwise like? I don't get it and they don't get me. I have one friend who loves Palin (I guess she admires shooting animals from helicopters) and I have another friend who has a ticket and visa for New Zealand if things go the Red Way. For me - voting for Obama it is not settling at all. I think Obama is a good man and smart as a whip. That is really scary for people. But - when I was in Maine this summer I met a lot of Obama people and that felt great!!
