Playing catch-up

Yesterday, I caught up on writing my story for the Yule Chapbook. It's longer than I had intended -- by about 2400 words, eek! -- and I just this afternoon thought of something else that needs to go in (I mean, it would be nice if the back-brain kicked up something that could get cut, but noooo), but it's mostly, just about completely, complete.

...and that's a good thing.

Today was Catching Up On accounting and email and checkbook balancing and all of the best-loved tasks in the world. I'm almost finished there, too, though the dishes had better do themselves if they want done today. Just sayin'.

In any case, I am now in a position to report that we have placed 880 copies of Saltation. That's right, there are only 320 left to go!

While I was over at the Saltation front page, updating the Book Futures Graph, I also added some links for Future Chapters. Alert readers will note that the link list now displays forty chapters. I want to reiterate that this is in no way a promise. More like a Wild Guess.

Despite our protests, we Fell Back last night, and now my time sense is Entirely Screwed Up. Obligatory Rant: Yo! Master Timekeeper! Can we just pick one sort of time and stick with it, please? Love, Rolanni.

One thing that I haven't caught up on is my Recreational Reading. I had naively thought that I would crack a book after I'd finished up with today's catch-up. Silly me.

And now, if you'll excuse me; I have a checkbook to balance.
