Comodo Pro has been downloaded and installed on my computer, where it seems to be playing nicely with AVG anti-virus.

I'm afraid switching to a Mac isn't in this year's budget...

Mac is worth budgeting for. I wouldn't do without mine. That said, they are expensive and, if you have already invested in a lot of Windows software, the cost of switching over may be prohibitive even with careful budgeting. If you decide the virus protection and other benefits are worth it, you can buy good quality used Macs from a variety of sources. If they have Macs at Colby, they may be willing to sell you one when they upgrade. I know that our local university has a program like that for employees and they upgrade the student-accessible desktops every two years or so. OTOH, if you have found a fix that works, go for it.

There are also Mac Minis, which are small and adorable and (comparatively) inexpensive. (Though you do have to provide your own monitor, mouse, and keyboard.)

Pictures of their small adorability may be found here. I'm holding out hope they may upgrade the processor and hard drive at MacExpo in January. ::please please please::
