Sometimes the Rule of Three takes a while to get cookin'

Ladies and Gentlemen, I am very (wildly, ecstatically, deliriously) pleased to announce that Carousel Tides by Sharon Lee has been sold to Toni Weisskopf at Baen Books. Jennifer Jackson (aka Madame the Agent,
arcaedia), of the Maass Agency, did the close-in work, ably and well, as always.
Carousel Tides is an urban fantasy, set in Archers Beach, Maine, which is hardly urban, but there doesn't seem to be a classification for contemporary fantasy set in small coastal Maine resort towns. Some of y'all may have heard me read from it at Boskone last year.
Projected publication date is Spring or Summer 2010*.
*Does the happy Snoopy dance. With bagpipes*
-----------
*As a side note to this comment, Carousel Tides was written in 2006, completed and sent to Jenn in December 2006; and has been making the rounds for two years.

Is it to soon to order this?
Date: 2008-12-06 04:42 am (UTC)I'm cool with the Snoopy dance.
But bagpipes?
The rule of three does like to sneak up on people. I think it hopes you'll loose count.
Re: Is it to soon to order this?
Date: 2008-12-06 04:52 am (UTC)If you enclose a line in "<>" (left and right arrows) they and what's between them disappears. If you only see quote marks that's what happened again.
Don't try this at home. :(
The entry above was supposed to have the line *Turns hearing aid off* after "But bagpipes?"
Oh well. a day you learn something new is never wasted.
