At this time there are no (that's NO) plans for a continued serialization of the Life and Adventures of Theo Waitley.

Please, please, please, I beg of you, do not send me money for the "third book." I'll only have to refund it, which will frustrate us both.

Thank you.

We now return you &c, &c

Not trying to protest your decision, just to clarify: Do you feel that Theo's appearance in the main storyline follows directly from the end of Saltation?

I might be somewhat in-advertent, but I'm missing something in the connection.

Yes.

...not necessarily the ending that's on Saltation now, mind you...

Fair enough. I shall look forward to reading the finished version in hardcopy.

... or the news that you've changed your mind because you've got a GREAT idea that needs more space...

SAD, we are, that Theo's adventures will not be chronicalled and follow IMMEDIATELY. Boo AHH!

We are addicts and were are in dire NEED.
What can be done to persuade the authors to provide out fix?

I know that your own necessities exist, but have pity!

Instead, you should just buy every single copy of their books that you can find in new format, particularly directly from them as well as just sending them donations without expecting anything else. Thus spaketh the Delm.

If'n we were to ask about a serialization of your choice, after you have a dab of time to catch your breath, do you suppose we could talk you into thinking about that? Note that "dab" is a technical auctor's term meaning as much time as you rightly think you need to rest up, but not a stitch of time more.

What do the stars portend? Will the serial universe have supernovas? How about a little yellow star with three rocks? Someplace a wanderer could call home?

Not only do I love all the Liaden(tm) novels; my daughter loves them, too. Consequently, she has 'borrowed' all my copies, and I suspect that they now have a permanent habitation in Portsmouth, UK. I am sad that reprints now seem to have been cancelled.

I do appreciate that Baen (a wonderful publisher!) is providing Liaden(tm) books online, and I do appreciate that very much. However, for me 'real' books will never be superceded by e-books.

Theo is a treasure: but if her story is done, it is done. Story has a life of its own that does not necessarily mesh with the main protagonist's life. It's a pity, but it's true

Burton from Montreal

I suggest the Liaden Universe(tm) readers let the auctors rest until Fledgling is published by Baen. Just save up the cash in case the auctors go the serialization route with the next book after the Scout's Progress follow-on book from Baen.

But it would be nice to have some idea how far down the road for the I Dare sequel.

As long as you continue Theo's story at all, I don't mind how and when you write it - except it should be as soon as possible of course ;)

For now I'm looking forward to compare my saved Fledgling chapters with the print edition and see what new ideas the authors introduced...
