It was hot today; I think I saw 48 degrees(F) before the turn came, and the temperatures started the long slide downhill. Thirty-four at the moment, and only 27 more degrees to loose to hit the overnight predicted low of seven. Above zero.

Writing days don't leave much to talk about. I did the laundry. I did not do the dishes. Tough luck, dishes.

We've had a couple of inquiries regarding upcoming convention appearances. Here's the scoop: Steve will be at Boskone this coming weekend. In March, we'll share a slot as Writer Guest of Honor at StellarCon 33 in Highpoint, North Carolina -- that's March 13, 14, 15. Early in August, we'll take a pleasant five-hour drive to Montreal, where we'll participate in Anticipation, this year's World Science Fiction Convention. Steve may make another con on two on his own; me, I'm running close on the available vacation days from the day-job, due to the GOH gig.

Hexapuma is resting quietly in the bedroom, coincidentally where he can catch the breeze from the humidifier. Hmmm. I'm hoping his troubles don't come from the dry air, because we're throwing a thunderstorm's worth of moisture into the air every day in this house and the air remains Unbelievably Dry. Winter -- still better than summer, in oh, so many ways.

For those who have been seeking hard-to-find Meisha Merlin editions of our work, Steve has uncovered some mis-labeled boxes among those he brought home from the MM warehouse. Read all about it on the SRM Publisher LJ or check out the SRM Publisher catalog

And! as reported above, tomorrow is Monday. Curses.

Ten Percent Parties?

Hey, can those of us who are watching that little progress bar creep up throw ten percent parties? Seems like we ought to have some kind of celebration, you know? Ten percent, ten percent, into the valley of a hundred and twenty percent stories, wrote the valiant auctor . . .

You can throw the rotten tomatoes now :-)

Knock yourself out.

It felt good to break 10,000 words.

I'm off cheerfully ordering things.

You guys are SERIOUSLY underpricing the market on I DARE. Go search. Leaving out a $15.00 copy, the going rate is at least $50.00. Price it like the rare out-of-print book it is -- $30 at least.

I wish you well. (BTW, how can I figure out which is the last chapbook included in the Companion v.2?)

Um...isn't the hardcover at $35? *goes to check*

Right.

The people who are charging $50+ for those books are...lacking in honor. Which very likely explains why we're chronically short of cash, but there you are. If you want to throw $15 in the trip jar, because you feel like you've been undercharged, please be my guest.

Looks like With Stars Underfoot.

Oh, I'm treasuring my originals, which I bought when the books came out.

I didn't mean to impugn your honor. To me it was more a matter of the book having changed status -- from in print to out of print, and that it was appropriate for pricing to change with it. I respect that your reasoning is different.

It's too late for mine :o(

The first three are seriously dog-eared, with creases along the spine and wear along the edge.

I don't exactly MIStreat books, but I do re-read them. And I've had these paperbacks for what, 20 years, now?

Sigh...
