rolanni: (aelliana and daav from russian edition o)
[personal profile] rolanni
Spent the day with Aelliana and Daav, making it through Chapter 18, circa page 235. The manuscript now claims 112,556 words, which, as a count, is Highly Mutable.

Based on reader feedback, I've returned to the format of yesteryear, when Local Custom and Scout's Progress had Helpful Quotes and Possibly Pertinent Excerpts(tm) heading each chapter.

It's been mostly smooth sailing so far (for values of smooth sailing that include fixing ugly sentences, rearranging paragraphs and deleting extraneous scenes). The hard part -- is before me.

I think I may stay arisen at 5:30 tomorrow morning, and immediately get with the red pen. The sacrifices one makes for one's art. Gah.

But, now! The Dish Monster calls.

I'd enjoy "hearing" what you think! I love Netflix, I never used to be so experimental with movies, somehow it dosen't stress the commitmentphobe in me like picking up a movie off a store shelf does.

Just finished watching Who Am I This Time?, (it's only 55 minutes and can be streamed from NetFlix) what a sweet, charming film! I thoroughly enjoyed it. How clever of Helene to figure out a way to engage her extremely shy Romeo.
History Boys is in the queue and will come up in weeks/months.

She showed determination and foresight. Just imagine a partner who can be anybody, you'd never get bored!
