So, last week! What a kidder, eh? The thrills, the chills! The ups, the downs! Emergency visits to eye doctors; unexpected new old automobiles purchased; old automobiles sold away; scheduled visits to orthopedic doctors that include a sudden needle to the knee; novels raised from the dead; birthdays celebrated.

I got a little behind on the revisions for Carousel Tides. Wonder how that happened?

This morning, we had pre-con haircuts, and I had a manicure, since I'd never, ever had a manicure before and figured I'd try one. It was OK; and I may even do it again, sometime.

Came home after those adventures and worked on revisions. I'm up to the hard part, now, and still hoping that, if I just hide under the desk tomorrow, I can get the final push done, so I can re-read when I get back from WorldCon and send the improved! script on to Toni and that will be done.

Yes, occasionally I am a crazy optimist.

I cannot believe that we're leaving for WorldCon on Wednesday. I have to pack! I have to work. I need to critique workshop submissions! Um, eek!

Also? We totally should've scheduled a month to explore Montreal. Not that this would have helped with the timeline for getting Carousel Tides revised, but -- wow! Is there a lot of Stuff to see/do/eat/drink in Montreal. I may have to look for a day-job at McGill.

Someone had asked us within recent memory -- by which I mean "within the last four days," because, really, why clutter up my memory with more than that? -- how many novels Steve and I have written. The person querying because our books appear in a lot of weird configurations, which said correspondent maintains makes it hard to figure out how many discrete novels there actually are. I can understand this, but -- I never know the answer to this question and usually just grab a number out of whatever hat happens to be handy. So! for those of you at home who have been waiting, breathless, for the answer to this question, attend:

1. Agent of Change, Sharon Lee and Steve Miller
2. Conflict of Honors, Sharon Lee and Steve Miller
3. Carpe Diem, Sharon Lee and Steve Miller
4. Plan B, Sharon Lee and Steve Miller
5. Local Custom, Sharon Lee and Steve Miller
6. Scout's Progress, Sharon Lee and Steve Miller
7. I Dare, Sharon Lee and Steve Miller
8. The Tomorrow Log, Sharon Lee and Steve Miller
9. Balance of Trade, Sharon Lee and Steve Miller
10. Crystal Soldier, Sharon Lee and Steve Miller
11. Sword of Orion, Sharon Lee and Steve Miller

18. Barnburner, Sharon Lee
19. Gunshy, Sharon Lee
20. Carousel Tides, Sharon Lee

Total: Lee and Miller, 17 novels co-written. Lee: 3 novels in addition.

Now, we all know.

Um? I think it's dinner time.

Try a pedicure - you're feet will thank you.

And doesn't the knee feel better now. I had the coritsone injections every 4 months for several years before I finally had to have the knee replacement. Better luck to you.
